Energy Harvesting 2016
Date: Wednesday 11th May 2016
Location: Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, 12 Upper Woburn Place, London, WC1H 0HX

The Energy Harvesting Network is holding its annual one-day dissemination event on 11th May 2016 at the Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, London. The Network is self-funded and run by a team of academics and industrialists, and is for the benefit of academia, industry and end-users of energy harvesting technology. The event is being co-organised with the KTN.

Speakers: The event will provide a platform for disseminating energy-harvesting advances and applications in the UK and contain presentations from well-respected speakers in academia and industry. Topics covered include practical applications of energy harvesting from, for example, mechanical/vibration sources and thermoelectric energy harvesting, and systems solutions including aspects such as power management and energy storage. Confirmed speakers include Prof. Chris Bowen from Bath and Roy Freeland from Perpetuum. We are still finalising the agenda - please email event@eh-network.org if you would like to speak at the event.

Registration: Registration for the event costs £60, although a discounted rate of £40 is available for attendees from academia. Online registration is now open athttp://go.soton.ac.uk/70v

Student Posters: The event also has limited space for posters from researchers and postgraduate research students. The registration fee is waived for PhD students that present a poster, but due to the limited space, this offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify for this, you must currently be registered as a PhD student and also supply an abstract to the organisers. PhD student posters will be judged, and a "Best Poster" prize of a £100 Amazon voucher awarded at the end of the event. Anyone wishing to present a poster should email event@eh-network.org as soon as possible.
